What’s New This Year?

2018 celebrates the 50th anniversary of honors education at UNC Charlotte. 

New Programs

New undergraduate degrees and programs that appear for the first time in this Catalog include:

• B.S.B.A. in Business Analytics  
• Minor in Music Performance  
• Minor in Southern Studies  
• Minor in Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies  
• Undergraduate Certificate in German for Engineering   
• Undergraduate Certificate in Hispanic Literary Studies  

Program Changes

Major changes to existing undergraduate degree programs include:

• Fire Safety Engineering Technology major renamed Fire and Safety Engineering Technology  
• Concentrations in Applied Theatre ; Design/Tech ; Directing, Dramaturgy, and Dramatic Writing (3-D) ; and Performance  added to B.A. in Theatre
• Concentration in Occupational Safety added to B.S.E.T. in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology  
• Concentration in Actuarial Science added to B.S. in Mathematics  

Discontinued Programs

Discontinued undergraduate degrees and programs include:

• Concentrations in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence and Analytics, and Systems Analysis in B.S.B.A. in Management Information Systems
• Minor in Music
• Minor in Software and Information Systems
