ANTH 4453 - Field Project in Archaeology Practical experience in archaeological techniques. Students will participate in field research on an historic or prehistoric archaeological site. Research may include field reconnaissance, excavation, mapping, systematic description and analysis of cultural material, and/or other techniques appropriate to the site and research problem.
Credit Hours: (1 to 4) Prerequisite(s): ANTH 1101 or ANTH 2151 and permission of instructor. Grading Method: Graded on a Pass/No Credit basis. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit with change of project; up to 6 credits may be applied toward the Anthropology major.
