CJUS 6104 - Legal and Ethical Issues in Crime Analysis Examines how the law functions as a powerful tool of social control in our society. Particular emphasis is given to understanding the constitutional limitations placed on the construction of law, the elements of criminal offenses, and criminal defenses. Also focuses on the more recent issues to arise out of the use of big data systems and privacy.
