ETFS 3113 - Fire Safety in the Built Environment Describes how an acceptable level of fire safety and resilience can be obtained during the design stage of a structure, and how this level can be maintained during the service life of the structure through the enforcement of fire safety regulations. Topics include: fire safety strategies, fire safety regulations and their enforcement, egress design and maintenance, passive and active fire protection systems, hazardous materials and facilities, and the performance-based approaches to fire safety.
