GEOG 4110 - GIS for Non-Majors Examines the fundamental concepts and techniques of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology and its application to social and physical sciences. Students learn processing, collecting, organizing, displaying, and analyzing geographic data from address geocoding, GPS, CD-ROM, World Wide Web, and other sources. Emphasis placed on data preparation, analysis, and presentation. Labs introduce students to ArcGIS.
