STAT 6127 - Introduction to Biostatistics Descriptive statistics and exploratory data analysis; basic probability models and the concept of random variables; point and interval estimation; hypothesis testing (one- and twosample problems); simple linear regression and ANOVA; selection of appropriate methods for analysis; development of skills to conduct analysis of data; development of the capability to present the results of a study in scientific language.
