CHEM 5121 - Advanced Inorganic Chemistry A review of atomic structure and bonding, a survey of the synthesis, structure, and reactivity of the elements and their most important compounds, a discussion of key industrial processes dealing with the preparation of inorganic compounds, and an overview of coordination and organometallic chemistry. Laboratory work involves inorganic preparations and characterization techniques. Three lecture hours and one laboratory period of three hours a week.
