PPOL 8673 - Law and Social Control Examines how the criminal law functions as a powerful tool of social control in our society. Particular emphasis is given to understanding the constitutional limitations placed on construction of law, the elements of criminal offenses, and criminal defenses.
Credit Hours: (3) Restriction(s): Full graduate standing in the Ph.D. in Public Policy program or permission of instructor.
