Students master the foundational principles and basic skills of assessing, and treating veterans in the community. Introduces several evidence-based practices shown to have positive outcomes with this population. Students actively participate to develop client-centered, strength-based approaches to treatment, with adherence to social work values and ethics. An emphasis is placed on the importance of competency, advocacy, and professionalism.
