MEGR 2141 - Engineering Mechanics I Introduces the principles of particle and rigid body mechanics with engineering applications; force systems and resultants; the equilibrium of particles and rigid bodies; friction; and properties of areas and volumes. Introduces the principles of particle and rigid body mechanics with engineering applications; force systems and resultants; the equilibrium of particles and rigid bodies; friction; and properties of areas and volumes. Individual sections may be restricted to particular majors: -C0x sections are for CEGR and ENVE; -00x sections are open to MEGR, CEGR, or ENVE.
Credit Hours: (3) Restriction(s): Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering major (MEGR, CEGR or ENVE). C0x sections are for Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering majors only. Prerequisite(s): PHYS 2101 and MATH 1242 with grades of C or above.
