Admission Requirements
Current UNC Charlotte Undergraduate Students
Minor Requirements
The Minor in Chinese consists of a minimum of 20 credit hours (6 courses) above the CHNS 1202 level (i.e., above beginning language instruction).
Intermediate Level Courses (8 credit hours)
Advanced Level Courses (6 credit hours)
Elective Courses (6 credit hours)
Students choose two elective classes among the 3000-level courses in Chinese language, literature, film, and/or culture, taken either at UNC Charlotte or abroad OR the Local and/or Global theme Chinese courses (CHNS 1502 and/or CHNS 1512 ). The elective classes must either be taught in the language or be accompanied by a one-hour additional language component in order to count toward the minor.
