Current UNC Charlotte Undergraduate Students Eligibility
To pursue the minor, current UNC Charlotte students in good standing (both Architecture majors and non-Architecture majors) are asked to complete this form, which will be processed by the Academic Advisor for Architecture. There is no specific GPA requirement, but academic records will be reviewed by the leadership of the School of Architecture for evidence of academic success in this program, and the Academic Advisor for Architecture will meet with interested students to confirm the viability of completing the minor alongside their major. Minor Requirements for Architecture Majors
Required Courses (12 credit hours)
Students in the B.A. in Architecture program must take ARCH 4203 , which may be double-counted toward their concentration if their concentration requires it. They must also take both methodology courses (ARCH 4600 and ARCH 4613 ). The ARCH 4060 History/Theory Topics required for their concentration will be double-counted here toward these requirements. Elective Courses (6 credit hours)
Students in the BA in Architecture program must also take 6 additional hours of coursework outside of the department from the courses listed below or a substitution approved by the Academic Advisor. Minor Requirements for Non-Architecture Majors
Required Courses (12 credit hours)
Non-architecture majors must take four specific Architecture courses. Elective Courses (6 credit hours)
Non-architecture majors must also take six additional hours of ARCH 4060 . All 6 hours may be counted towards the Minor in Architectural History and Heritage and another major or minor. Progression Requirements
Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all courses counted toward the minor. The minor must be completed before a student graduates with their major program of study. |
