BIOL 5167 - Medical Genetics Various applications of genetics to human health, including studies of the inheritance of diseases in families, mapping of disease genes to specific locations on chromosomes, analyses of the molecular mechanisms through which genes cause disease, diagnosis and treatment of genetic disease, and genetic counseling.
