BINF 8111 - Bioinformatics Programming I Introduces fundamentals of programming for bioinformatics using a high-level object-oriented language such as Java or Python. Also introduces object-oriented programming, analysis of algorithms and fundamental sequence alignment methods. Students learn productive use of the Unix environment, focusing on Unix utilities that are particularly useful in bioinformatics. Course grade includes performance in BINF 8111L .
