RESP 6106 - Ventilation Application and Monitoring Provides an in-depth knowledge of advanced theory, set-up, operation, and maintenance of mechanical ventilators and related equipment, as well as instruction on all phases of continuous mechanical ventilation. The history of mechanical ventilation, modes of mechanical ventilator support, implementation, monitoring, ventilator weaning and discontinuation are covered. Cutting-edge ventilator modes, noninvasive ventilators and high frequency oscillators are discussed. The integration of advanced techniques for invasive and noninvasive patient monitoring is also reviewed.
