RESP 5101 - Health Outcomes and Quality Assessment


Provides an understanding of the U.S. healthcare system and healthcare organizational structure, so students gain a deep knowledge of evidence-based methods and techniques to design, implement, and evaluate healthcare quality control/improvement initiatives.  Also introduced are the concepts of Lean and Six Sigma methodology, where students develop an understanding of patient and population education programs, and the process of developing these programs.  Knowledge related to quality measurement and performance is also gained, along with the ability to identify quality performance gaps and how to close these gaps.
