MATH 4229 - Actuarial Science IIB Long-Term Actuarial Mathematics. Reserves: net and gross premium reserves, variance of loss; Markov chains: discrete and continuous probabilities, applications to premiums and reserves; Multiple decrement models; Multiple lives: joint life, last survivor, and contingent probabilities; Estimating mortality rates; Pensions and Profit Measures. This course is the second of two preparatory courses for Actuarial Exam LTAM.
