ITIS 5135 - Web-Based Application Design and Development Students learn to design and develop interactive webpages with significant focus on programming. Topics include: components of a web application, web design, and development guidelines, coding with programming languages used for web applications, manipulation of the Document Object Model (DOM), event-driven programming, asynchronous exchange of data, and web accessibility. By the end of the course, students develop an interactive and accessible website with practical intent.
