SOCY 5290 - The Experience of Loneliness

Drawing on academic texts, empirical research and personal accounts of loneliness, the aim is to identify the extent of loneliness experienced by older adults in various contexts. In particular, the readings consider the consequences of loneliness on the physical, mental, and social well-being of older adults.
