SPED 6115 - Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorder An introduction to the history, and cultural and individual impacts of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and systems of support for individuals with ASD and their families. Students learn to distinguish between research-based and fad or pseudoscientific information related to ASD and interventions for this population.
Credit Hours: (3) Restriction(s): Admission to the M.A.T. in Special Education program, admission to the M.Ed. in Special Education and Child Development Program, admission to the Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder program, or being admitted as a post-baccalaureate student
