Familiarizes students with ArcGIS software and the visualization of geographically oriented data. Students work through assignments and projects aimed at helping them understand how to think about a problem spatially and create maps and visualizations that help answer these problems. The final project connects them to outside agencies to help the agency better understand a problem with which they are dealing.
