MEGR 5271 - Orthopedic Biomechanics Introduces mechanical properties of the human body’s hard tissues (bone and cartilage) and soft tissues (muscles, ligament, and tendon), and joint biomechanics. Focuses on mechanical and biological considerations for treatment of orthopedic diseases and sports injuries, such as bone fractures, ACL injury, and osteoarthritis. Students learn to solve medical problems using their engineering knowledge and skills.
