PHYS 5105 - Fundamentals of Physics Teaching

This is a 1 credit hour course intended to prepare students for the multitude of challenges and responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the Department of Physics and Optical Sciences. The class is designed for first time TAs and will introduce Physics teaching techniques and approaches and provide resources to enhance students’ learning and classroom engagement.  As a part of this class, we intend to help students develop equitable, evidence based and student-centered teaching practices.  This course uses Canvas as a learning management system. Canvas can be accessed at canvas.uncc.edu.
