MATH 1103 - Precalculus Mathematics for Science and Engineering Intended for students who plan to take MATH 1241 . Review of polynomial and rational functions, properties of functions, composite, and inverse functions. The study of polynomial and rational inequalities, reciprocal functions, trigonometric functions and their graphs, identities and equations, the law of sines and cosines. A brief introduction of limits of functions through their graphs. Students who have already received credit for MATH 1121 or higher with grade of C or above will not receive credit for taking MATH 1103.
Credit Hours: (3) Prerequisite(s): Math Placement Level 3 or MATH 1100 or MATH 1101 General Education Requirement(s) Satisfied: Quantitative/Data Competency - Mathematical and Logical Reasoning
