MDSK 4253 - Teaching Social Studies to Middle and Secondary School Learners
Credit Hours: (3)
Should be taken semester prior to student teaching. A methods course for teaching social studies at the middle and secondary school levels. Emphasis on using social science content to develop effective teaching strategies, instructional plans, and classroom materials for teaching social studies to middle and secondary school students.
Hours of Lecture and/or Lab per week: Includes 30 hours of field experiences.
Other Requirements Satisfied: Service Learning (SL)
