AFRS 3218 - Racial Violence, Colonial Times to Present Examines the ways in which African Americans and Whites used violence both as part of struggles for liberation and freedom as well as repression from the colonial period to the present in the United States. Focuses on the broader processes of social, political, and cultural change and at efforts to build cooperation.
