ENGL 4167 - The Mind and Language


Introduction to the study of the mind from a linguistic perspective. Topics include: language growth and loss, language deficits, modularity and hierarchical processing, the interaction of cognitive and linguistic faculties, parsing/processing strategies and limitations, and applications such as therapy, forensics, computing, teaching.
