LTAM 4116 - Culture and Conflict in the Amazon


This course examines the development strategies Brazil has used in the Amazon and explores how these policies have affected both the environment and the various populations living in the Amazon. Topics covered include environmental degradation, human rights abuses, culture change, migration, and globalization.
