GRAD 6020 - Career Lab: Developing Core Career Competencies Students gain practice and knowledge around non-cognitive skills such as grit, leadership, lateral thinking, innovation, professional branding, effective communication, and organizational evaluation as it relates to their professional career. Developing and practicing these core career competencies contribute to the student’s overall career brand, confidence level around their career path, and their connection to their targeted industries of choice. Students participate in weekly sessions on identified topics, contribute to discussions and complete reflections and assignments that correlate to each unit. Each unit, including related discussions and assignments, is designed to build upon the last in order to help students create a strategic career action plan and provide valuable skills for long-term success.
