CHFD 3118 - Approaches to Family Supports and Resources


Examines and applies in-depth research, theory, and practices to create and implement evidence-based supports that build upon family and child strengths in a variety of home and community settings. Candidates complete a field-based clinical assignment of approximately 20 hours in settings with infants, toddlers, and/or twos, their families, and/or prenatal families who are culturally, linguistically, and ability diverse. Collaboration with families is emphasized.

Restriction(s): Admittance to Teacher Education in Child and Family Development, and GPA of at least 2.5 overall and 2.75 in the major.
Prerequisite(s): CHFD 3113 .
Corequisite(s): CHFD 3416 .
