ITCS 4111 - Introduction to Natural Language Processing The practical methods and techniques of natural language processing and text mining. These techniques, mainly the techniques of syntactic and semantic processing, are illustrated with specific tasks (such as: Information Extraction, Dialogue Systems, Information Retrieval, etc.). Most programming assignments are for the laptop. Selected ones could be done in the cloud (e.g., using AlchemyAPI and/or IBM Bluemix). Students are expected to bring their laptops to each class.
