TRAN 6480 - Translation Internship On-site work in translating texts or interpreting. Site and workload is determined in consultation with employer and one faculty internship advisor. Translation Internship provides practical and professional training experience under conditions that cannot be recreated in the classroom. The internship course provides Translation Studies/Interpreting graduate students with an opportunity to earn credit for professional, non-classroom experiences related to their area of interest (e.g., legal, medical, scientific, technical, diplomatic, commercial, community). Students gain hands-on translation/interpreting practice and acquire valuable professional and communication skills in the workplace.
