AFRS 2225 - West African Dance and Percussion Introduction to the practice and cultural theory of West African dance forms. Students are taken through the rhythmic experience of regional West Africa dances accompanied by live drumming. The cultural contexts of these dances as a window to understanding social norms and societies will be emphasized throughout.
