DANC 1218 - Modern Dance for Majors IB Basic modern dance concepts continue to be explored, including floorwork, standing exercises, and locomotor patterns. Students continue to learn, embody, and demonstrate beginning-level movement vocabulary in a dance studio setting. Body alignment, placement, strength, flexibility and coordination are addressed. Students explore modern dance as a creative practice and artistic expression. Specific modern technique or style varies per instructor.
