THEA 3310 - Dramaturgy


Exploration of plays in the Department of Theatre’s current production season through dramaturgical research, play analysis, and essay writing.  The writing of performance reviews and program notes is also practiced.  Students conduct historical research on the plays, playwrights, and prior productions. Students also learn to apply current theories and cultural concerns to specific points in each play, developing new meaning for staging the plays today.
