LTAM 2270 - Latino/as in the United States, 1846 to Present


A survey of the diverse Latino/a experience in the United States from the Mexican-American War to the present, with emphasis on the twentieth century and contemporary issues.  Themes include colonialism, immigration policies, transmigration, labor, rural and urban life, culture, political and environmental activism, and race relations.
