BINF 8111 - Bioinformatics Programming I Introduces fundamentals of programming for bioinformatics using a high-level object-oriented language such as Java or Python. Also introduces object-oriented programming, analysis of algorithms and fundamental sequence alignment methods. Students learn productive use of the Unix environment, focusing on Unix utilities that are particularly useful in bioinformatics.
