MSMG 6110 - Principles of Financial and Managerial Accounting


Accounting is the language of business.  This course teaches students how to interpret financial statements to evaluate the performance and strength of a business.  Students also learn how organizations determine the cost of providing goods and services; use accounting data for budgeting and profit planning; and identify strategies for improving the quality of goods and services for customers while increasing efficiency, profitability, and sustainability of the organization.
