ESCI 6222 - Quaternary Paleoenvironmental Sciences A multi-disciplinary course which surveys methods used to reconstruct past climates, past environments, and past landscapes during the Quaternary period. Changes in past environmental conditions are discussed in light of present and future landscape predictions emphasizing both natural and human causes. Focuses on biotic and abiotic material from terrestrial and marine sediment cores, ice cores, and other proxies for past environments and past climates.
