DANC 3229 - Contact Improvisation

Experiential exploration of basic concepts of contact improvisation including falling and rolling to the floor, and partnering skills of weight sharing and lifting.  Focus on developing highly attuned body awareness in relation to earth, gravity, and connection to others. Students learn, embody, practice, and demonstrate contact improvisational dance skills in a studio setting.

Credit Hours: (2)
Pre- or Corequisite(s): DANC 1217 , DANC 1218 , or DANC 1280 ; or permission of instructor
Repeatability: May be repeated for credit.
