GERM 3650 - The Holocaust in German Literature and Film This course honors and is taught in memory of Dr. Susan Cernyak-Spatz who created this course. She survived the Holocaust in several camps, among them Auschwitz-Birkenau. Through the lens of German literature and film, students examine the Holocaust with a focus on historical, moral, and aesthetic issues in its representation. Conducted in English; no knowledge of German required.
