Examination of the history, purpose, and goals of child welfare services in North Carolina and in the United States.  Course information is provided from the context of the child- and family-centered model that guides child welfare services.

Restriction(s): Admission into the Upper Division BSW Program or permission of the BSW Program Coordinator.
