SPED 5372 - Planning Mathematics Instruction for Students with Exceptional Needs Provides strategies for (a) assessing students’ mathematics performance, (b) applying mathematics standards, student needs, strengths, and weaknesses, and IEP goals to mathematics lesson planning, (c) utilizing evidence- and research-based instructional practices, and (d) integrating technology into lesson plans for teacher licensure in Special Education: General Curriculum (NCDPI). A directed field experience is a required component (approximately 12 hours).
Credit Hours: (3) Restriction(s): Admission to COED Teacher Education program Prerequisite(s): SPED 5173 , SPED 5300 , and SPED 5370
