MEGR 2144 - Introduction to Solid Mechanics Engineering theory of deformable solids and applications. Stress and deformation resulting from axial, torsion and bending loads. Shear and moment diagrams, Mohr’s circle for stress and strain and buckling of columns.
Credit Hours: (3) Restriction(s): Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering major (C sections are for Civil Engineering majors only). Prerequisite(s): MEGR 2141 with grade of C or above.
