EDCI 8041 - Topics in Literacy Research

Examination of special topics germane to literacy research in education environments at the elementary, middle, and secondary school levels as well as the community and four-year college. Examination of special topics in specific areas germane to literacy research as it relates to teacher preparation, professional learning, and the effectiveness of programs and practices for literacy development of K-12 students. Extensive reading and discussion of topics from multiple perspectives.

Restriction(s): Students must be admitted to the Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction Program or permission of the Department of Middle, Secondary, and K-12 Education.
Repeatability: May be repeated for credit with change of topic
