Survey of primary methodologies, theories and research in the history of art and art criticism, including formalism; iconography; connoisseurship; biography; social history; Marxism; feminism; postmodern, and contemporary theory.

Prerequisite(s): Art History major; ARTH 1211, ARTH 1212, and ARTH 2110 with grades of C or above; or permission of instructor.
