Nursing: Nurse Administration, Graduate Certificate

**This is a Distance Education program.**
The Graduate Certificate in Nursing Administration is designed for nurses who hold a bachelor’s degree and desire to enhance their administrative skills and advanced practice nurses with master’s degree who desire additional knowledge to be competitive in managing personnel or groups.
The Nursing Administration certificate program of study consists of specialty courses in nursing administration (12 graduate credit hours). Students will complete four specialty courses. The certificate can be completed in one year through part-time study.

Admission Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- Graduation from a post-secondary level Nursing Program (United States RN Registration not required)
- An essay (statement of purpose) in application packet that includes a description of a selected area of specialization in nursing practice
- Three letters of professional recommendation
- GRE or MAT is not required for certificate program
Certificate Requirements (12 credit hours)
Additional Certificate Requirements
- Completion of 12 hours of required coursework within four years
- Students must maintain a minimum 3.0 (B) GPA in their graduate courses and may not accumulate more than two C grades
