Minor Requirements
The Minor in Technical/Professional Writing consists of 21 credit hours of coursework.
Required Courses (6 credit hours)
Elective Courses (9 credit hours)
Select three of the following:

ENGL 2116 is a prerequisite for some courses in the minor. Students should declare the minor before trying to enroll in ENGL 2116 to assure a place in the course.
Elective Technical/Scientific Courses (6 credit hours)
Select two of the following courses from the 2000-4000 level in a technical or scientific discipline that cannot also count towards General Education Requirements:

Students may request permission to take other appropriate courses from the Technical/Professional Writing Program Coordinator.
Note:
The Department of English allows English majors who minor in Children’s Literature and Childhood Studies, Diverse Literatures and Cultural Studies, Linguistics, or Technical/Professional Writing to count only two courses from the minor toward fulfillment of the major degree requirements.
Grade Requirements
A GPA of 2.0 or above in all English courses taken is required for graduation.
