The Minor in Biotechnology program is an interdisciplinary program housed within the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and is designed for students interested in careers in the biotechnology field. To obtain a Minor in Biotechnology, students complete a series of required and optional interdisciplinary courses offered in the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Bioinformatics and Genomics, as well as complete a biotechnology-based internship in a regional government, industry, or academic laboratory. Students have some flexibility to choose courses that reflect their specific area of emphasis within the biotechnology field.
