Admission Requirements

• Declared Anthropology major
• Prefered minimum GPA of 3.5 in Anthropology courses
• Prefered minimum GPA of 3.2 overall

Course Requirements (9 credit hours)

• ANTH 4701 - Honors Research in Anthropology (3)
• or  ANTH 4611 - Senior Seminar in Applied Anthropology (3) (O,W) (SL)

•  

• ANTH 4702 - Honors Writing in Anthropology (3)
• One Honors College course

Experiential Learning Requirement (3 credit hours)

An internship, field school, or semester-long study abroad program approved by the Departmental Honors Coordinator.

Certification Requirements

To graduate with honors in Anthropology, students must:

• Earn a minimum GPA of 3.5 in Anthropology courses
• Earn a minimum GPA of 3.2 overall
• Complete the Application to Candidacy process for graduating with honors, as directed by the Honors College

The honors notation appears on a student’s official transcript.
